I thought so too. I also thought that perhaps they were making fun of the Arab for blowing chunks because of sea sickness. But they laughed after the first battle when the Arab had his face slashed. They’re laughing at their own previous experiences.

Guy down the road moved here from AZ last spring wants me to fire up the Kenworth and haul some rock for him. He's cussing and swearing up a storm, he's in the mud and needs rock. I said no, explained why. He called a few others. No.

Dude, it went from two months below freezing to 50°, my little 1,700lb mini truck is leaving 2" ruts in your gravel road.

It's been really nice. Still some snow in my field but T-shirt yesterday.
Lots of hand wringing and piles of ciggie butts from owners- when it firms up do I call the drivers and operators back from winter lay-off and get a jump on the year's work, or are we going to have another freeze/breakup and everything stops again?

Another 4 days off, no loads....
Parts came for the wifes GLK350 so spent sunday under it and rebuilt the transfer case. Great vehicle, but ZF dropped the ball designing the transfer case. Front driveshaft slip yolk is actually on the out put shaft, so the seal is internal, shaft doesnt come out unless you dismantle the transfer case or remove the whole affair. It had 2 bad bearings, one on the trans output shaft, and the output shaft for the front diff..when you put it back together the front shaft has to be slid thru the seal from the pressure side of the seal. You can't see what your doing, and if you roll the lip it's done. If it leaks, you have to take the transfer case apart again to do the seal.... used a small endoscope camera to get it as lined up as I could and pulled the camera and slid it home. So far, no leaks... this new crap is why i like my old square body. Shops wanted $4500 to do this job, $400 in parts and that included trans fluid and filter. $100 hoist rental, $90 for a pump and adaptors to fill it.
And beer.
I told the wife after we retire, my square and An old Chevette is all were gonna have. Simple, no computers, easy to fix...lol

I've been torn on the German over-engineered stuff. On one hand, it's brilliant how seemingly simple things can be made so complicated and still function as intended, but on the rational hand, WTF *(^#@^% do I have to buy 3 specialized tools and tear down 47 unrelated things including reprogramming the radio with factory supplied codes to replace a paper gasket?!?!jamespmack, Swine hauler, cke and 10 others Thank this.
