Yup, problem is all cars are that way now. F150's have had ZF transmissions for a while now.
Edit; the BMW'S ARE THE WORST as far as complications go, the older Mercedes stuff is the best. Parts they FCP Euro are more than reasonable and they are actually built to be taken apart and put back together. They do have models that are crap, but those tend to be the lower cost stuff. I've had a bunch over the years and all have been great vehicles. I like bug luxury cars, my 2 best were a 91 560SEL. It was a foreign diplomat car in Ottawa so lived in a garage always. I NEVER should have sold it. It was like a silk lined bank vault. The most solid car I've had.
I also had a 2001 Jag XJ8 VDP. the dealer took it on trade then realized it had oil leaks. They thought it was head gaskets, but it was valve covers and intake. I fixed it and drove it for a year or so. Awesome car. Would love to still have that one.
This GLK was suppose to just be a flip, I dont like SUV's, I was into it for about $6k when we bought it 2 years ago with 79,000 kms on it. But the wife drove it.... so her KIA sportage went away and we still have the glk. It's been trouble free until the transfer case bearings got noisy, and that's a known issue on the early ones. It was easy and cheap so no complaints.

VW and BMW were tied in my eyes, at least the jobs I got. When I ran the shop, most leaks and/or major repairs came at the 7-10 year mark, and earlier breakage was usually taken to the dealer for warranty, so what I was working on the majority of the time was decade old tech. Unless they beat the snot out of it, or ran a pile of miles, most of the newer stuff was simple brakes and wheel bearings. Things have gotten so much more complicated in the last 10 years for diagnostics and it was just starting to trickle in when I closed in '19 - No regrets about closing the doors at all, I just wish I had made them a little bigger, because shoehorning my truck in there is a pain haha.Flint1, jamespmack, Elroythekid and 5 others Thank this.

Delivered a day early in Indiana. Sitting in Bloomington tonight. I gotta get to Morton in the am — having a bunch of trailer issues, one of three being caused by the operator

Ain’t that the way it works every time after a $100 wash…?
This wash was $188….
But I had them hit the lowboy real good…..

188? Wowzers. I mean if they did an excellent job with microfiber mitts and there's no streaks, where at?Flint1, Isafarmboy, cke and 7 others Thank this. -
One of the absolute best washes I ever got was at Roosters in Pine Grove, PA. (Probably a fluke, because the 2nd time there wasn't very good.) But I hit rain before Hazelton lol.
