The last 3 weeks, we have been getting a lot of snow. Not all at one, a few inches at a time. The snow itself is not bad, nor the cold, it’s the ice it leaves behind.

A simple conversion would be much cheaper, but I replaced pretty much everything from the driveshaft to the wheels with new/reman. I'll probably be in it for $25-30k all said and done with new drive tires, depending on what I do with the steer axle. I kind of want a new wide track steer axle on air, but I included the hubs and calipers to convert mine to disc in the meantime.

If your housings are good, and you're just just converting to disc, all you'd need would be torque plates, calipers, actuators and hubs - around $3.5-4k a wheel @ current call-in prices.

The old housings were needle scaled and painted with por-15 back in '18-19. Ready for a refresh, but not as bad as they look in the pic. Only reason I replaced them is because all 4 spindles were worn when I got the truck and it's been on "the list" to do.

I'm hours away from any fleet parts stores like that, but the local hydraulic hose shop is fair priced. I'd like to have a crimper to make my own, but I'd never make enough hoses to justify the cost even figuring in hydraulic lines I occasionally need.

If you use por15 and it sees sun, it will fade. Regardless if it's gloss. What you wanna do is coat with por15, then paint with a gloss, semi, flat. What every your going for. Por15, or Chassie saver will not hold color. It's not paint. It's a chemical compound rust converter. I use the heck out of it. But not to make anything look nice. Thats what paint is for.

Being from Northern Ohio. They could build a wall. That wind across lake Michigan and Erie needs stopped. Everyone from me to Cleveland, and NW PA would appreciate this.
