There was a man setting at the table eating, I ask what he was having since it looked good. He said it was Ox tail and something else. Not my cup of tea but it looked good.
That BBQ pulled pork was great, and the beans and rice had a good flavor as well.
I gotta quote a couple machines down here, I may come this way purposely just to stop here and eat lol….exhausted379, cke, Brettj3876 and 8 others Thank this. -
LOL, that's how I used to plan my routes, depending on what I picked up where and where I was going.
Loved hitting up the Big Texan when I could, when hauling up to Oregon. Had to do a 34 there once and enjoyed 3 days of steak and breakfast.
2 days for the reset, and breakfast before Ieft.
Liked stopping along US 60 through Wyandott, OK and hit up the casino there. Good food and game. I miss my road trips.
singlescrewshaker, Feedman, cke and 6 others Thank this. -
The food was the primary reason I signed up for the job. Remember the days when waitresses would get on the radio and announce the daily special? Drive down the road listening and hoping that she didn’t say anything about homemade fresh peach cobbler. Oops, she said it. I’m pulling in!singlescrewshaker, CAXPT, Feedman and 8 others Thank this.

That's the only thing I miss about my NYC/Long Island run is the food. I ate like a king and never gained a pound lumping 46k worth of food with a 2 wheeler. All those little hole in the wall places you ate good for cheap.Flint1, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

They had one that set up in a tower in LA, to the east of Mobile. She would great the trucks pulling in and talk groceries.
The last one I heard on the radio was Country Hooters, which was on the other side of the bigroad to the North40 Truck Stop. Had no idea. Girl walks up with her areolas looking at me. Nice little place, outstanding food. Great mammaries…I mean MEMORIES!Flint1, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 4 others Thank this. -
