Easier to find when it's belly up? And hopefully passerbys will think it's Schneider?

    The Schneider answer is correct.

Upside down, looks like a Schneider in the ditch.

And the big orange road barrels are Schneider eggs. How you know, you might ask? Lift it up, it will have a dirt bag under it.

I remember when the Highway was cluttered with JB Hunt & Schneider. You could find them everywhere on the hills trying to move on down the road.

Had a school friend years ago that went to work for JB, talk about a transformation!! Ran him in the ground, RIP Trent….

Used to be a Cattleman’s down on Monterey/First street. Not the chain one. Was next to the feed store. The same people owned the Bold Knight restaurants. That place had some good food, reasonably priced. Never left hungry.

@jamespmack or any other resident detroit wizard.

    12.7 or pre egr 14l?

Looking for 500+ preferably 1850tq or better. Longevity wise, fuel mileage isn't as big of a concern but what difference should I expect between the two, I'm under the impression that o/h kits are pretty well the same price as either option will be overhauled before dropping it in.

Looking to have one ready to drop in my new truck when the paccar gives it up or I get fed up with it being a gutless pig that gets terrible mileage because I'm mostly in the hills and it struggles to pull its own weight. Yes I know I could change trucks but I just bought this one and am happy with the specs aside from the low power rating of the motor which I had planned to turn up after I bought it but found out that it's not possible without a ton of hard parts getting changed and if I were to change trucks I'd end up spending a ton to get some of the specs this one has on something else.

They used to sell those old cabinovers for $9k, with a fresh in frame. JB, Schneider and Burlington (white cab over). I had thought about it, but never pulled the trigger.
