29,800 full of fuel.

 

I’m 32,000 even with full fuel. I do have abnormally large fuel tanks. 1999 Pete 379 and a MAC.

 

I dont get how you guys are so light with sleepers. Even our daycab is like 21.5K. It's a 389 with 225WB and only 160g of fuel. I guess it's just down to a cabinet full of equipment kept on the tractor?

 

31,600 ready to work and 300 gal fuel

 

I know I struggle to stay able to haul 48k. Last time I checked was 32,600 full of fuel. Converted tractor to disc since and probably added 1-200 lbs. I carry too many different tarps, but over a 6 month period, I'll use them. Same with chains and binders, but it sucks to turn down a decent load because I left [whatever] at the house.

 

Yeah I’m tempted to leave stuff at home but my luck I’ll lose out on a good load. I carry 12 chains 3/8x20ft and 14 binders. I’ve never used more than 8 chains so far.

 

I use 10 pretty often, and 12 at times hauling reels.

 

With only the front bulkhead left on, usually have 10 / 3/8”x20’ chains & rachet binders….

 

3 axle lowboy with 1/4 tank fuel. This was before adding the drop axle….
