They make a special grease to lube that splines with. I got a tube of it when I put my wet kit on last year. Years ago we serviced a fleet of sheetrock trucks and every 4th service you had to slip pump back and apply new grease to help prevent what you ran into there.

    Nah, not at all.
I just putt along most days between 62-68mph in the slow lane anyhow. Some days I'll see the same truck pass me 3-4 times.. Hard to get in a hurry with my rig.. lol :D

Just honest curiosity on what it takes to get that much mass moving. Especially lifting off on soft ground..

It takes much less than most would think to actually move heavy weight as long as you stay on pavement and don't plan to try starting out on an 8% hill. Going off road or running in the hills is where you start to need deeper gears. Of course if you're planning to do it on a regular basis then lower gears would reduce the abuse on the rest of your driveline.

Here's 185K behind a x15 565/1850 and 13sp with 3.36 rears. Best option I had when I blew my motor 3 years ago. Just had to be real easy on her when taking off but once I was rolling it was no problem. I did everything I could to never stop. Just got it all the way into L and crawled until lights changed.

Nah the riggers transfer them onto a smaller trailer in the parking lot. There isn't room to get something that long into the plant.
