One of the guys dropped his brand new Milwaukie 1/2 impact.....down through the rolls, all the way to the bottom. We could see the led light waaaay down there till it shut off. Don't forget when we light off the plant, it'll come out on the belt we'll grab it.
Of course we forgot! It was under 9,000 tons of crushed rock. -

Difference between a 4x4 and 4x2 pickup is about 75' of extra cable. They still get stuck.
We had full lockers in heavy wreckers running around the great lakes. Didn't use them that often. But my advice was in snow or mud, have it pointed in the direction you wanted before you lock her in. It was nothing to gross 225k, and light on the steers. They became directional rudders at that point. -
Was having a bit of time deciding between Ponderosa lounge, & Mi Ranchito? Though the better of it cause I had a bacon Colby brisket burger last night, & seemed like just burgers & frozen pizza at Ponderosa.
Not the absolute best carne asada tacos I've ever had or anything, but they sure hit the spot & I'd eat here again for certain. Cute hostess, waitress, & nice service.
Park on the far west end of the lot will probably keep ya away from the riff raff mostly, & be a little quiet..
Sorry to see about your Series 60. That really sucks, especially after all the work you've recently done.Guess the saving grace will be you seem to know your way around one, & will be almost brand spanking new soon..
You able to get genuine Detroit rebuild kit? -
Plenty of room here with a nice cliff.
15 miles back to the yard and it's beer 30 could use a few after being up 22 hours now -
And us lacking the cubic inches have less clutch engagement torque too making it worse.
Edit. Looks like I have a 12.57 Low. Stupid phone won't let me see it I need the computer. And 16.42 on the Mack 18 rated for 2100tq

Had a guy drop a 3/4” drive Milwaukee electric impact on the Bay St. Louis Mississippi draw bridge number of years ago, right in the water off the end pier of the bridge.
Next morning sun was bright and the tide was out, guys were saying they could see that impact in the rays of the sun. Sure enough it landed on a bench or step out in that pier and was only about 5 feet under water.
They used a section of 3/4” conduit and a welding rod to make a hook and wound the cord up enough to pull it up.
I had them throw it in the side tool box of the hyrail for the time being to dry out. Keep in mind that water is salt water.
Fast forward about 2 months, I happen to see that impact one evening back in Mobile Alabama. Got to thinking hmmm, wonder if it will work?
I laid out a 50’ extension cord but didn’t plug it in. Plugged the impact up and taped the trigger in so it wouldn’t have to be touched.
Laid it down in the dry Sandy parking lot and plugged the cord up…. Man the dust flew as that crazy thing took off then stopped and started a few times while jumping around on the ground.
After a few attempts of acting like a chicken with its head just cut off it took off running like a new one!
The aluminum or whatever that head is made of was pitted bad from the salt, but that impact lasted a long time after that. Made me pretty impressed with Milwaukee….. -
cke, Brettj3876, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this.

Yeah, I actually bought all the parts from United Engines last summer. So I've already got the head, OH kit, and flywheel housing, and bought an 18 and aluminum bell housing from my local Pete dealer at the same time.
So it'll have it all in before I head out.cke, CAXPT, singlescrewshaker and 7 others Thank this.
