Just a cherry picker. ISX head is heavier, but and decent cherry picker should work. Will have to pull a steer tire off though

 

We were thinking of that but thought it wouldnt reach high enough to get it pulled off. Thanks for the info

 

I used an engine hoist to pull the head on the engine I'm doing a short block on now. Its much larger than a typical automotive one though, this one is a 3 ton close up and lifts pretty high at full extension.

My cousin took a load to Green River for Monday. I L'd, but not OL

 

Thought I was safe with 3/20 being the first day of spring & all that jazz.. lol

Took this load on a wim. Was supposed to be running an elk grove village to jasper AL. Turned out to be 167" wide. I passed. Picked these slabs .7 miles from the original pick in elk grove village, & I run this same load last June so figured be easy.. hahaha

1st time sitting in a weather closure in 10yrs.

 

Mine just barely got high enough to clear the front cover. It was one of the cheapo chinese ones with the fold up legs. Overhead crane with hoist is so much easier to use that if there is a next garage, it will be built around having as big of an overhead crane as I can afford. Of course space big enough for a forklift would simplify things also, but we're taxed per sq. foot here so...
