Is that an old fire wagon? The back seat would be great for a sleeper.

O well... that's part of it all. At least your capable of doing it yourself. Use Teflon tape on all fittings to help next time.

Same with big red. Has a new compressor. Must leak somewhere else.

    Same for me.

Well at least it's not a 300 dollar air bag supply line...

Well that's a open rear cab American LaFrance if I'm correct.

But you could find a modern enclosed 4 door and build sleeping area in it. Probably need to re-gear for highway. But you would have a cool toter on a heavy chassis. You would just need to build the bed and living area.

Watch auction, you can pick up used fire trucks cheap sometimes.

I can't believe, I never thought of this option. Big engines, big automatic. You would never hurt the drive train.

Here is a example. 96 Sparta with 12.7 Detroit, Allison auto. This thing still has current pump certification. 9,999 bucks with sbca seat. Pull gear and list on eBay. Start cutting sides down. You basic chassis is done. Do you custom rear and inside finishes.

Except compression and JIC. Really only use tape or liquid Teflon on pipe thread actually.

what does JIC stand for? i always used teflon tape on any air fittings.. nothing more irritating then putting a air fitting together then have to take it apart when it leaks because forgot to put tape on it

Flint1, CAXPT, jamespmack and 2 others Thank this.
