Well I don't know much. But had to detour around this today. Not sad about the secondary fire. Just wish it was one of the new portables truck.

If you ever get a chance to truck in northern Alberta or the Territories, take it. The most common trailer in open deck are what they call in the States the oilfield lowboy. They haul EVERYTHING on those trailers, 3-5axles and a 3 axle truck spec’d at what we call a Heavy Three. Big 2 lane wide and 20 something feet tall loads are a common occurrence.
It’s an eye opener and one heck of a learning experience. For me, the biggest lesson learned was to appreciate hot food and a fork. -
Good morning from Louisiana. The only la I'll run anymore other than lower Alabama.

I saw a youtube video of them hauling one of those big mining haul trucks. Wheels on and everything. Forget the name of the company. marmoet? Something close to that. Pretty cool stuff up there for sure.

This one?
Taken a lot of lunch breaks in that rest area. Nice little spot to sit on the back bumper and eat a sandwich. No indication other than the road that you're in between about 3 major oil production sites. -
I'm gonna have to dig up some old photos I took of a job we did about 10 years ago. They were hauling complete 793B and C trucks to a laydown to strip down and send to a customer in the US. If I remember it right, I was involved with tearing down about 4 or 5 of them.

Yeah thats what they were hauling.. This was the documentary i watched . shows the process they go thru to put that trailer together and get it hauled.. Pretty cool stuff.
