Just landed Black River Falls. I left Hammond about 1:30. Deliver Eau Claire in the morning. Call it a week. Got another funeral. Dad’s older brother.

 

Swapped out the steer tires on the KW this morning (those 24.5 149/146 are ####ING heavy!), hauled 2 loads, made a deal on a hay rake, bs'd for 2 hours with a couple guys, and made an offer on a JD tractor. Not a bad day for an old guy.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV when I was routing around in the farmers bone yard yesterday I spotted a '63 KW hood and sleeper, perfect crooked KW emblem, no pitting Signal-Stat 1301A's...... "where's the rest of it?"

Man, it's a beautiful Thursday mornin from I-5 north of Seattle. Passing the Snohomish River looking east towards the Chelan Mtns

 

And here I thought the day was going to be good, got the first dozer loaded and waiting to get in to unload. Then… then, I happen to read your post and cringed LOL…. that is dreadful to hear

 

Morn’n y’all… setting on the berm of a 2 lane waiting on a call with the first dozer on the back. Seems they need to add hydraulic fluid to the excavator, that usually happens when you don’t fix leaking seals.

I have to back all the way out of the housing development, and since the road will be blocked I can’t just set there pissing folks off….

 

I was loading off a pile last summer, I look down and there's a black oil circle in the dirt, over the tracks.....oh sh....! Shut it down.
Get on the radio- hey, this things got one heck of a leak.
"Yeah, it's been doing that for awhile. I think the rear main seal is blown. There's oil jugs and a funnel left side door, when the little red teapot light comes on filler up. I gotta fix that someday."

 

Watching that Elon rocket launch-
