Quarry got insurance numbers this year- huge increases. Parking trucks and cutting back FTE's, the numbers just don't pencil out.
Gyppo trucks and off-book help are going to be really busy this year.
I might have to reserve a slot at Budco for Flash this winter and spruce 'er up some if this is the way it's going.

 

My son asked me years ago, "Dad, why do you HAVE to go to work", then answered himself, "to make money to buy toys".

A driver beeped his horn at me and I rolled my window down and told me my step box was bouncing. Pulled over and sure enough on both sides each bracket was cracked through. Only had maybe 70 lbs of stuff in it. I guess the bumps did her in. I didn’t want to use aluminum brackets in the dirt place but couldn’t find any steel. Next time I’ll just make them. Learned my lesson. Imagine the step box breaking and you drive over it; the damage to truck and trailer would be crazy.
