26 is a good road. 191, 89, 26, took it last summer from rock springs with 47,500 on the deck into idaho falls with a tree fiddy & a 9 speed. You'll do just fine. Enjoy the scenery..

You sure this is a good idea? That mobile crusher's gotta weigh 100k+. I don't think that's enough truck.
"I'm pretty sure it'll do it"
[cut scene, going up long grade, CB conversation]
    You gunna make it?
"I think so. 3rd was making a lot of noise I think it's the trans, dropped to 2nd, I've got one more to go. She'll make it. I think."

An old T6 day cab with a little Cummins 350 will do it, it turns out. But I wouldn't recommend it.

My conversation went more like this:
Me — There ain’t no way that old POS is gonna pull Edna Creek
Boss — Oh you’ll be fine— that Ol girl been pulling these hills since before you was born
Me— I’ll give a whirl, just stay back a ways in case someone has to call an ambulance

    Phew.....that was close.
My wife tried telling me, I have to get rid of my Harley now because of the deal betweeen Harley and Budweiser. I told her, not to worry. Anyone drinking Bud and riding, most likely won't be the kind of person that would be long for this world anyway. :)
But I do hear they're starting to take some flack for that, as well. Sigh...might be time to trade in for an Indian. :)

US26 was indeed not bad at all. Only twice I had to drop under 45mph at 80k lbs with my old 12.7 detroit.

The yard I park at has a guy that runs bridge beams running pretty heavy (dont quote me but probably a 10+ axle setup) with a 12.7 detroit. That cannot be a fun drive.
