The hot chick that married me turns 42 today, and I'm in Washington. Was able to get all three kids and my mom, and her mom and dad on the phone at the same time to sing her happy birthday. She doesn't know yet, but they're all getting together Tuesday for dinner, then off to the rodeo.

I got the bike down and did some riding in the Okanogan National Forest. Gonna change the oil here in a bit and make a pizza 20230528_163205.jpg

I spent at least 2 hours searching and came up empty. Even when Summit popped up on Google search with 2.5' in/3' out it just took me to a page with 2.5" in/out and 3" in/out.

I put the stock system back on sans tailpipe. It just dumps in front of the axle. Honestly I'm kind of digging it. The exhaust isn't much louder but its got a little more rumble to it. Might just buy an angled tip and leave it as is. Really digging the look with no tailpipe at the back. Looks so much cleaner.

Before stainless exhaust became "affordable", and you had to replace your exhaust every couple years, I just did a small muffler with a turn out in front of the rear tire on my trucks. Dumping under the bed usually wouldn't pass inspection after a certain year.

Agreed. We used to have a Honda Shadow 750, and except for an accident where a car backed into my 2005 Heritage Softail Classic, it's been pretty reliable, and I put about 25,000 miles on it between 2005 and 2008 when I went OTR after retirement...so I tend to agree with the reliability of the Harley. I haven't heard as much bad about the Indian as you seem to have, but then again, that might be because I haven't been actively looking into them. Before the Harley, was seriously looking at the Kawasaki Vulcan or the Suzuki Boulevard, but the wife insisted on Harley's...so...the rest is history. :)

Today, the book and it’s companion huckleberry finn are considered to have a number of not politically correct qualities. The fact that these books were a social commentary for the times, written by a humorist as a satirical look at popular society, has seemed to be overlooked.
