I loved my 750 shadow and got 10 mpg better than my Harley. But the Fit, Finish and quality sucked. 10 mpg was a little loss, but fun and torque was gained. I know all about thier history. But I will stand by my statement. My 08 dyna is the best built and most reliable bike I've ever had. Others can and might argue. Just my experience.

I had a vstar 900something when I first got my motorcycle license. I thought I was a bad mfer. Until the day I went to a test ride event. Man… greatest day ever. No one was there so I rode a different bike each time and the guy leading it had no problems breaking 100. I rode at least 8 different bikes.
Then I got back on my vstar to drive home and felt like it was broken it was so slow in comparison. Very sad ride home lol.
Ended up riding dirt bikes. Loved it. Week long trips in the mountains. I ended up stopping because of injury. I broke my arm in 2 places and being self employed while riding dirt bikes is a risky endeavor.
Anyways topic change. I went to buy a pickup and the sticker prices are insane. I saw a $91k and $89k tundra on the lots lol. Crazy. Just a couple years ago I bought a Ram Laramie cummins fully loaded for $72ksinglescrewshaker, CAXPT, jamespmack and 3 others Thank this. -

What do you know about CrossFit?
I’ve never done it. Had friends, a couple that were on the rowing team in college that got into CrossFit 20 years, but neither of them were really big or strong. They were just fit. For an endurance sport, this girl is HUGE. I like a strong woman.
I was 180 lbs on the PD, 220 when I competed, and 15 years out OTR, I was 235. Now, I am 200 even. Never really gave much thought to my looks until I start riding motorcycles. I like having physical strength, but also like having stamina (what’s the point of being really strong if you run out of gas really quickly?).
One of the things I do after a set, when the body wants oxygen to feed the muscles is to take a couple deep breaths, exhale…and suddenly calm everything down. Breathing, pulse rate, everything…calm. Reset. Ready to go again. No 30 seconds rests, no time limits, no watching the clock. Dead calm. Then do the Focus. You’re the most dangerous when you are calm.
This might sound crazy, but once you get the breathing under control, you can sit in a sauna at 165 degrees, for 20-30 minutes, and will yourself to stay cool. I knew meditation started with breathing, but I guess I just recently figured out how and why beneficial.singlescrewshaker, Flint1, jamespmack and 6 others Thank this. -

Well, I saw an orange chicken glaze stuff in the grocer. Gonna try it with steamed rice. Hopefully the rice will somehow take some of the sweetness away.singlescrewshaker, Flint1, Rugerfan and 7 others Thank this.
