If he doesn't show up on the forum for awhile I'll saddle the horses and put together a search party. One of them might have "caught me a man" and have him chained to a post in the back yard.

We built the rearing pond at the hatchery years ago— everyone had been warned NOT to act like a tourist up there but one of the laborers saw a flyer, but didn’t bother to read the fine print below “Ladies Night”, went waltzing in with his towel and flip flops— said he just about made it back out the gate but the skinny fast one ran him down and tackled him and they were on him pretty fast— Monday morning it looked like he’d been through 10 rounds with George Forman — they are for real up there

Just found a picture I been looking for for years..!!

uncle Lester running the Rig, Bucyrus Erie 21W. Friction drive bull wheel and sand reel, later 20 & 22’s had clutch / gear drive bull wheels, lot safer lol….

Uncle Lester never would take his shirt off and always wore long sleeve shirts, his sleeves are rolled up. 1918-1983….

I was standing off to the right in this picture.

If you look closely you will see uncle Lester is holding a big Manila rope that is wrapped around the cat head on the rig. He was hoisting a joint of 6” casing, Timmy is holding the casing guiding it towards the hole.

When this pic was taken, the 4 cylinder Hercules Power deck engine had been replaced with a larger 4 cylinder LeRoi.

There is a brick building setting there now on that piling…
