considering I had to add 6 gallons after 4 miles all a sudden

I’m not sure there was anything to catch

Peterbilt is adamant I cracked the radiator. I still have the underlying suspicion it’s the head gasket

    but my oil looks healthy

@Flint1 looking at a project/parts bike. Just curious how it works with registration if you buy a bike with no immediate intent to ride it. Don't really want to waste money insuring a bike that doesn't run just to get registration papers in my name.

No big deal. Just need a bill of sale to register it. Inactivity doesn't matter.
If you want the registration in your name. No way around but to insure it.
I've put bikes (like my 250) back on the road after decades of inactivity. It just sucks if it was never registered in Ab, then it needs an opi.
My son, right now is out on his maiden ride on his VF750F. It has sat in my yard for 11 years. Abandoned by a freind. He insured it, walked in with a bill of sale. Got a plate.

Yeah that's kind of a PITA. It'd be nice if they were able to update the ownership in the system without needing insurance. I mostly just want to cover all bases should I decide to restore it instead of strip it for parts. Don't really want the VIN tied to someone else.

I quickly got to the point where I leave my "coolant kit" setup along the wall of my shop all the time. 3 buckets with lids for draining, along with a bucket with the funnel, air lift, and plugs for the expansion tank. Seems like I "get" to use them 2nd only to the oil drain pan lol.

Thanks six... good news . i hit the shraeder valve with a flathead screwdriver to see if there was any freon in the system.. And it purged nothing but air. Kept purging it until freon came out.. Now its blowing ice cold a/c again... Feels incredible after sweating my ### off all afternoon. Maybe just had some air trapped in the system

If the compressor isn't kicking on - it's possible that it's just a bad pressure switch - either high or low. Hard to diagnose on the road though.

ETA: Saw your reply after I posted.

That's the drawback to cans, can't get air and moisture out of the system.

My a/c freezes up occasionally. I too just turn the compressor off until it thaws out.

a blocked drain will cause that problem most of the time….
