Man, I don't know how much longer I can sit at home and relax in the recliner. I already fixed the sprinkler system and re-routed some underground pipes to make the system more easily serviceable in the future and I also installed an attic fan. I found a huge blower fan (squirrel cage) on the scrap trailer at the Knights of Columbus at my in-laws church. The fan came from a large data center and was used to cool server racks that were enclosed with air conditioning. The cord was missing but it still had the connector and a brand new capacitor installed so with the help of my father-in-law the fan is now attempting to remove the 180° air from my attic.

I went and visited my truck over last weekend just to give it some love and attention. Check all of the fluids and tires and hit the key and it didn't miss a lick.

I had a good report from my surgeon today at my 5-week post-op checkup and he said as long as I felt good and strong enough I could hit the road at the end of next week. I'm actually going to wait until July 31st. This weekend I have to replace the A/C compressor. The bearings in it started whining on my trip home for surgery. When I fired up my truck on Saturday I turned on the A/C in the cab and the front blower motor is inop. Gotta pull the passenger side seat and top cover of the HVAC housing to see what took a dump.

I've decided, and after talking with my wife who is the rational decision maker of our family, to take my Dad and my father-in-law with me in the truck for a week at a time to help me with the heavy stuff when I go back on the road. Driving won't be an issue but if I have to do any lifting or climbing I'm going to err on the side of caution and let my Dad and father-in-law do the heavy stuff for me just so I can heal just a little bit more.

I enjoy having either of them with me and they both love the road so it helps me and they get to have a small journey as a passenger. My Dad still has a CDL even though he hasn't been an owner operator since 1995 but he changed his self certification for his medical card so he could drive if he wanted to. Haha. My Dad would never miss a chance to row through the gears.

Y'all be safe and have a good night. I'll be back in the road in no time. IMG_20220105_090944.jpg

Truck Gods poking fun at me..?

Loaded at Veterans Park in Milwaukee yesterday after the Harley Davidson event..

Easy drop at sunbelt Comstock park, MI

Reload at another Sunbelt DeWitt, MI fell apart. For some reason they didn't want a (supposedly 10'6") 10'10" tall wheel loader leaving their yard on a step.. Could be remedied by low air psi or a permit but no no..

So off to Highland Park, just north a DeeTroit.. Beautiful area, even come a few miles down the peaceful Woodward ave..

Loaded at Detroit golf club after the Rocket mortgage open. This silly 10' can. Yes, those are my Dickies dry'n on it after get'n caught in a hail storm loading it.. Parked against the trash can couldn't be more fitting

But it HAS to be on site by 0800..

Survived Grant Park, better than anticipated.. Had the site contact answered the call, probably wouldn't have been so uneasy coming in blind..

Naw...but the wife's company used to be over there, in Highland Park near Woodward. They moved way out...finally. :)
    :banghead:

That was a hell of hail storming we got. Was out shopping when it hit, in a Meijers when the roof started sounding like a rapid fire drum solo. :)
