Hey, it could have been an American Motors Rambler station wagon, with an AM radio and no wood grain sides. Did have the luggage tie down bars on the roof.

 

Yup I grew up with Mom driving a 53 Olds 88 and Dad inherited a 57 Buick. Dad worked for my maternal Grandad who owned the Studebaker/Oliver dealership in our small town of 400 including surrounding farms. The Olds was a trade-in for a 58 Silver Hawk that Dad paid off in his wages weekly to Grandad.

Rockford turn on the '76 A project.
I found a light damage running everything there [edit: '05 KW], weird chain of events. Made a ridiculous offer, he took it. Talked with the pit owner, if it's what I think; fix it and put a driver in it and to work it goes. We'll see when it gets here.
