Remember that 87 "may" contain ethanol and usually does, 91 and 94 should be ethanol free in Canada.
Your last 2 or 3 fills should be 91 or better and you should "season end" all engines with dry tanks and no fuel in lines or carbs.
The ethanol will absorb atmospheric moisture and cause corrosion on aluminum, zinc brass and alloys.
Even taking these precautions may keep carb rebuilds to every 3 or 4 seasons but the seasonal use in Canada makes carb "abuse" inevitable.

I planned on leaving the tank dry over winter since I'm going to be stripping the bike down partially for some maintenance work. Going to replace the fuel lines and add in an inline filter as well. Only about 4 more weeks of riding left, give or take.

My carb kit should be in tomorrow. Just gradually gathering up parts to go through everything. I lost a reflector on my Saturday ride, guess I have to try and track one down too.

Well it’s not me, it’s my brother in law’s girlfriend feeding them corn, bread, and I think donuts. She gets that day old bread down town.

They will come up within 12-15 feet of me, but they will actually eat out of her hands…..

Yeah, I just bought one of those recently from Harbor Freight for doing small engine carbs and such, and it's also good for other cleaning, like jewelry, small parts that don't need such a caustic solvent like Brake Cleaner/Carb Cleaner, and for cleaning all those little nook and cranies with compacted dirt that doesn't seem reachable. The improvement comes because of the heating of the cleaning solution and the ultrasonic vibrations to soak and vibrate the dirt and stuff off. It's more for a slow clean than a fast clean, but the clean is more thorough. You still can do a full tear down, it's just that you let the parts sit and clean in this, while you go do something else productive or fun. :)

I am actually curious about how you are going to use the winter to prepare for the next riding season.

I'm going to rebuild and re-jet the carbs, fix some wiring, clean out the inside of the fuel tank, new fuel lines, check the valve lash, adjust the balancing chains, possibly change sprockets for slightly more RPM and have the kickstand and center stand either chromed or powder coated. Plus I'd like to really clean it up. Buff/wax the paint, polish all the dull aluminum parts.
