Arrghh...my mind's eye...I can't poke out my mind's eye....

I've heard the cardboard from a case of Coors you find in the back of one of the pickups will work in a pinch to get something back in service when you're 40 miles from the closest parts store.

 

It does. For a small gasket the foil from the inside of a pack of cigarettes works pretty good. At least you can finish the day and keep the machine going while you send somebody to town for parts.

 

When the machine that's down grosses $1,300/hr and the owner is yelling "DO SOMETHING!" it's a hero or zero moment for the fellow working on it.

Welp ol Friday's bacon hauling days are about numbered. The barn I'm hauling for finally decided there's no money in pork.

 

Hate to hear that. That haul has been a good staple for quite awhile hasn't it?

 

I've been expecting an end to it sooner or later...they've been spinning wheels with no end in sight for a while now. It was good while it lasted.
