25 year old truck after 12 days parked... Wish our newer rigs could do that well!

 

Standing in a subway, waiting for service. A couple of young boys walk in. They’re not there for the sandwiches. Boy and girl walk up to take my order. Girl is tall and willowy, and the boy is mentally prettier than she is, meaning he is the female. Pretty boy is making my sandwich and Willow asks the SpyKids what they would like to order. SpyKidOne mumbles something. Willow can’t hear and so, he repeats louder.

“Do you have Snap?”

Willow nods towards Prettyboy and says, “That’s my fiancé standing there.” SpyKids beat feet out. So SpyKid One was the interested party and Two was the faithful sidekick. It took every bit of courage they had to ask.

I was just thinking that if I were a young person, I wouldn’t have any idea how to do anything. I guess old fashioned conversation has gone the way of the dodo.
