Man I'm trying to figure out how my paychecks might be looking once I go out on my own, but it's difficult because there's too many different variables. My paychecks weren't terrible at Western, making lower $.30's a mile, but I had to drive at least 600 miles or so per load to make anywhere between $1000 - $1500 a week. Here I'll be making 57 cents a mile doing mostly short runs from what I hear, but I get paid more on some loads that are really short... I'm hoping to at least make $1300 a week minimum providing I do my part obviously and don't be a lazy truck stop slut

 

Yeah that's the way they teach here; what's your take?
