    1027171244.jpg White oak posts and beam. The end posts are 3 1/2" x 5 1/2". The center posts are 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The beam is 5 1/2" x 10".

1027172125.jpg The bear doorbell cover. After some discussion yesterday, my wife likes the hand hammered look for the straps with no bear silhouette. I told her we could take the doorbell bear and put him in the center of the beam in the living room, if he'll fit. She likes that idea.

The next step is to decide dimensions for the "T" straps. The one I like best is 3" wide on the center posts, leaving a 1 1/4" reveal on both sides. Getting the top to look right is proving to be a struggle. I went with a 2 1/2" reveal on the beam portion, but it looked too top heavy. It made the top 5" wide and the upright portion 3" wide. The next one, I went with 3" material for all of it which looks better, but not quite what I'm after. Now I'm working on getting length and height correct.
The end posts will get a 2" wide straight strap, which will leave a 3/4" reveal. Once I get it narrowed down, I'll throw some drawings up for input.

Not yet but it's getting dang cold at night. If we have a good day of combining we should finish. It looks like we have a couple more days to get some tillage work done but after that we'll have to put equipment away. We have had a pretty good fall to get what we want done so can't complain too much.
