I recently got a CDL with no previous driving experience. Let's say I switched my career from airline to truck driving. I am more interested in driving a tanker but I don't know any companies who would hire and train a person like me with no experience. If any one can suggest few good companies. Secondly I have an offer from schneider for a flatbed home daily home.depot run. Any one who have an experience doing it with schnieder and could share his/her experience overall from driving to pay etc. Thanks in advance

Lodging at or near Sturgis is reserved/booked at least a year in advance for 40 to 50 miles in every direction for up to 2 weeks before and after. I hauled liquid fertilizer out of Rapid City regularly for 6 years back to western Canada and the crew that processed and loaded me told stories of relatives camping in their back yards during the event.

Maybe I'll book a place an hour or 2 outside of Sturgis, then just ride in from there. I'm planning a ride down the Fraser Canyon with some buddies late spring next year. Would be a good chance for me to build up some endurance and see what I'm able to pack along in my little saddle bags I bought.

 

He called today and has two loads set up in January. Right as rain and right on time.
