In Arkansas, you can get a bonded title. I don't remember the exact time frame, but after awhile, you receive a normal title.

Here in WV it’s basically a parts truck. I bought a motorcycle one time, guy didn’t bring the title which he said was open and clear in the previous owners name. I ended up with a parts bike. DMV had me fill out a bunch of info and said they would find the owner and send him s letter. Done that twice with no results and was told it was a conversation piece basically.
I know there seems to be places to get titles made for cars, but not sure about a big truck….TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, blairandgretchen and 12 others Thank this. -
Out here in WY if you have it in your possession 30 days you have the county clerk run a title search, send a letter to the owner and lienholder and publish notice in the local newspaper. If they don't respond you pay some filing fees and they issue a title.
It's easier to get if you show cause for mechanics lien than it is for a storage lien. Simply because you don't have to prove how long you've had it.TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, blairandgretchen and 14 others Thank this. -
Things are a lot more lax here. We don't have "titles" per se. Bill of sale and proof of insurance is all we really need to get a plate and registration on a used vehicle we just purchased. If it was purchased out of province then registries requires a recent out of province safety inspection as well before they will issue a plate and registration paperwork.TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, Big Road Skateboard and 7 others Thank this.

Its interesting when you look to other areas of the continent. Snowy roads are just a part of life and it doesn't even bother us up here. Then you get out into the flatlands and have to worry about being blown over by the wind, which practically never happens out in the mountainous areas.

Looks like it still has a separate Oregon plate? That has to have been sitting since 1999? Might be some nice bits there?TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, dwells40 and 5 others Thank this.

Got a hose bib put in and some decorations hung up.
oh and serviced the truck for the first time in my own shop. I’ve still been using my buddies place. I finally rounded up all the tools I needed to do it in my shop… it would be nice to get a few more / better tools for the job. But I can geter done now.

I must say I’m quite offended by the blatantly obvious theft of county and state property self-evident in those pictures.
