    Really?

Those were just as common as 5 spoke, IMHO. Generally heavier trucks had 6 spoke.

Good thing about a budd (stud pilot or hub pilot) don’t have to rotate the tires to align them. My lowboy has Daytons and maxi’s on both axles, gotta have air supply to release the maxi’s to turn the tires, budd’s just tighten and go lol.

A good clean well painted Dayton still catches my eye, but so does a nice chrome 2 hole budd which is rare anymore as well….

Budds with 5 holes look tiny IMHO.

I assume you’ve noticed that too. They’re the stupidest looking things in the world.

Man I know has this Binder with heavy axles using the 6 spoke. The early mechanic N14 has my attention…

My 77 Transtar 4200 had 6 spoke on the front steering axle…

I looked I don’t have the picture anymore .. But I’am going on record before I tell the story as .. It’s kinda kool .. but it’s not my style
I have I friend that I get some 359 parts from in KC. He’s a different kinda of guy to say the least..That said
I was down there getting parts few months ago and he had a set of 4 Baby moon hub caps for budd wheels he had plans of putting them on fresh refurbished steel budd rims… I had him put one together just to see how it looked .. best way to describe it was, it was like looking at a 1950’s street rod .. it wasn’t ugly but it was different
He was trying to sell me the caps they were brand new still in the United Pacific packaging he wanted 50. A cap they are like 120. each if I was building a show truck I MIGHT think about trying it just to catch some attention. But there’s a chance it might be unwanted attention too ..lol
