-6 here in Litchfield MN and windy as hell, not looking forward to north Dakota at all tonight.

 

I have spoke about the little dozer before here. Both machines being moved in Mississippi around the same area just different times of the year…..

 

My brother in law and friend splitting firewood. You can see the old 1970 International Transtar 400 in the background. Wife’s uncle retired from Southern States Coop driving that truck. 8V71N / 13 spd….

Those black things…? Well, they are dead love bugs lol, I got tired of #### things so I rubbed diesel fuel on the hood with a rag, they would light on the truck then be stuck to it and die, deserves them right….

 

I don't go south very often but it sure seems like lovebug season isn't as bad as it was in years past.

 

Yep those are gnats. We were in Ansley, Mississippi and couldn’t hardly breathe for those crazy things!!

Track protection was setting in the truck with the a/c on and they were trying to get in where they felt the cool air pushing past the seals in the window is all I could figure. It was scorching hot those days….

 

No actually it does seem to have slacked down….

 

Well we had a big weekend. 6th Birthday party and I had 9 kids running around the house. Nothing caught fire so that was nice.

 

1940-41 Cat D2 with 6 way blade…. Yeah you read it correctly.

I shut it off in the year 2000 right where she still sets today. Sold it and guy never came after it. Probably stuck by now. Real shame, I paid $267 for the rebuild kit on the pony motor, it ran slick as a gut. Carb had a cork float in it. Diesel ran good as well, had some slack in the under carriage….
