I've been doing some trailer work the last couple days. Yeah I'll stick with things that stay out in the fields, mines, bush and gravel pits as well.

I didn't have a needle. Just packed the bearings and filled up between the seal and bearing. Pushed some grease into the middle after it was hung on the spindle and packed some into the cap.

I got a call from a guy this morning who was mad. Big mad. Seems the tow truck didn't show up to gather up his cascadia with a DEF problem. I don't own a tow truck and I wouldn't agree to work on one of those danm things anyway. Hope for his sake he found whoever he was looking for.

What a coincidence, we just got done steam cleaning a 315 today to do the same thing. Parts of the recoil spring falling out on the ground, might be time.

If you don't have your parts bought yet check out TracksNTeeth up in Washington. Not even half the money of OEM parts.

I always packed grease in the center of the hub between where the bearings set before installing it on the spindle. As long as there is grease in there you should be fine. It will heat up and level out with time….

Tug Toy, jamespmack, CAXPT and 6 others Thank this.
