Kinda different….

 

Had a little setback….

Moved the Jeep on its own power the other day for the first time since 1987. Drove it around the yard and all was fine, cooling system as well as charging system was working fine. Got over on the concrete driveway and bumped the throttle in 2nd gear, that’s when I heard a loud clicking noise. As it turns out the splines in the factory 2 piece axle let go, so now trying to fix this problem along with completing the other parts of the Jeep. Be another week at least before the hood and tailgate is finished so I have a little time. Not sure if I’m putting in new 2 piece axle or updated 1 piece axle at this point, leaning towards the 1 piece….

 

Musta been doing jeep things prior to 1987.

 

5k each is about average retail price on those.
All depends on how it is optioned.
If someone was thinking of reselling them, 5k to 6k cash for both would probably work.
Would be a long selling time, they do have a small market and following.

 

That worked motor just has too much for it.

 

Drive by his place and look for black marks on the road.

 

Lol!!! I wish, bone stock 304 with the original 2 barrel. I have a AMC 360 on the stand for the next Jeep build….

$9k is the lowest I found on 3 websites. Most are in the $11k or better area.
That is from dealers so lose 15% for negotiation.
