I was going to say they're running a 50% off sale but the coupon won't work for my truck. I don't know why low rates on that stuff even bothers me, not like I'd be loading it on a flat anyway haha.
Where is everyone #5

Good idea. I was thinking of picking one up for the garage this year, and was trying to figure out how to mount it in the garage considering I have vinyl siding so would have to do some major surgery on the siding to get metal and the exhaust heat away so it doesn't melt it. I already found out how bad just heat near it could melt it, as the power washer was a little too close when I was spraying it.
The one problem with that, is you might experience some icing/gelling of the fuel feed if there was sufficient cold blowing air coming under that door crack. Maybe extend that exhaust tubing so it goes under the door, but the rest of the unit should come up higher...like maybe on a welding cart or...Harbor Freight Service Cart...and it'll even match the Vevor color.
sawmill, cke, singlescrewshaker and 5 others Thank this. -
Cold and rainy tonight in idaho don'tcha know . Not loving the way they routed me over snoqualmie , supposed to snow a couple inches saturday. Washington like to ban oversize travel on snoqualmie when 2 snowflakes fall from the sky. I sure hope to hell they dont

That's ok, 2 summers ago some kid at the bike park told me I "sound very Canadian." Another person told me something similar recently as well.beastr123, CAXPT, Isafarmboy and 8 others Thank this.

OS aside, I'm having a internal dilemma with a direct customer that treats me really well. I've slowly been cutting my rate, even after asking where they "want to be" on a run, and usually undershooting by a few hundred, simply because it's still much, much better than the spot market. I did explain from the start that I simply won't run at a loss, and my price is my price, but still don't want to have to deal with a broker going in with $1.75 quotes to make me look like I'm gouging. I don't think even then I'd lose the customer, but have been around long enough to know how financial emotion runs around in the mind.

Understand your situation.
It can feel like that at times.
I first started out with a 2500 Dodge pulling boats from local marina's. Couldn't have had lower operating cost, yet somehow always got undercut..
My answer was about the same, I'm not running a non-profit here. Have mouths to feed, & need to keep a roof over my family's head too..
3-4 months later they'd call, after a few bad experiences. But they burnt the bridge far as I seen it. Probably bad business decision on my end, but I refused to truck for them any longer. Figured they'd pull the same thing few months down the road..sawmill, exhausted379, beastr123 and 11 others Thank this. -
I agree. I am a micro company not even close to being a small company. If you decide to chase the rate and not the service, carry on, but don't knock on my door again. I just don't have the time to slot you back into somewhere I probably already have a new, loyal, customer in.
Sounds bad I am sure, but I will take care of you as long as you take care of me.
