@Oxbow the contractor has flopped their side dump on it's side twice now in four days hauling boulders. Loading 5'+/- with a 400.
Me when they started- "That's never gunna work"

Is this the deal where you were going to load with a 345?

We haul them a fair amount, but usually a bit smaller. There is definetly a learning curve to doing it without getting stuck with rocks under the trailer so that you can't get away from them. I always jacknife toward the side I'm dumping about 30 degrees, which usually allows you to back away from the rocks and prevents tipping over. Sounds like they are trying to dump without jacknifing at all.
Another thing that is important is not to try to dump against a pile. Big rocks need room to roll away from the trailer. They'll learn - or it is going to get real expensive!

At best we still end up hung up sometimes.

He turned it over to the contractor $X for the rocks have at it boys. They brought the 400 up. Running one side dump, one solo dump, one little frameless end, one 4-axle with 2-axle pup (o_O).
I think operator may have loaded 4-5' gigantors in the side dump, nothing else, and they hung in the tub till it went over.

We have been doing several "gotta have its" into the Carolinas and we have all commented on the trees along side of the roads. Who gets that wood? The property owners? Whoever that will clean it up and remove it? The state?
I would take a little bit of pine, but every bit of the rest....if it was free.

It is a D8 and is sitting in my yard and is going to New Milford, PA after the bridge here has been completed.
