2am Friday, had a driver call and asked me to check on a powerlifting friend who drives for the same company, said that dispatch said he rolled his truck.
The powerlifter texted me that he was in the ER. Broken ribs and an injured leg. Some dude hit a deer and turned off the lights and got out of the car to inspect it. My friend hit it, lost control and went on a field trip.
There are people on this planet that are impossibly stupid.Sons Hero, singlescrewshaker, exhausted379 and 13 others Thank this. -
Typically you could say Darwin’s theory would handle the aforementioned “stupid”, but the problem is they’ll take other people with them.singlescrewshaker, Feedman, sawmill and 11 others Thank this.

I was headed home from work a while back. I seen some brakelights ahead of me about a kilometer and then suddenly they go out. Struck me as not normal so now I'm paying attention and slowing down a bit. Oncoming traffic is blinding me with their headlights so I don't have the ability to see too far ahead. Suddenly some old lady has her car door hanging open and partially in my lane. Guess she decided to park across someone's driveway, shut her lights off and then get out of her car while parked barely out of the road.
Ironically if she would have just drove down the driveway to the gate she'd have been completely clear of the road and shoulder by several feet.
Just no common sense these days.singlescrewshaker, Feedman, Big Road Skateboard and 10 others Thank this. -
What dashcam do you use? That is good nighttime footage.singlescrewshaker, Big Road Skateboard, Gatordude and 10 others Thank this.

I use this:
VIOFO A129 Pro 4K Dash Cam
https://a.co/d/bxHWLRL
After last night I'm putting one of these in my pickup too now.
It's set to 4K 30FPS and I have the polarizing lens on it. Records in 5 minutes segments. The 256GB microSD records about 10-12 hours on a loop. Has built in GPS for speed.
I keep the mic muted because I don't want things said in the truck recorded. I will turn on the mic during the day when running with a pilot. It can pickup the CB speaker above my head so there's never a question on if they called clear or not on a wire and I run into it which has happened.
We tried using the JJ Keller cameras that sent stuff back to the office. I put an end to those the first time I got called in for doing 75 in a 35 because it read the speed limit sign on an off ramp.Sons Hero, singlescrewshaker, IH9300SBA and 11 others Thank this. -

I had no idea this was a thing in BC. Just shy of 160k lbs gross weight.singlescrewshaker, Feedman, Big Road Skateboard and 7 others Thank this. -
It was the Carter Administration. They banned lead based paint because Darwin kids would eat paint chips and die before they were old enough to breed. Now, we have 45 year of Darwinism in the gene pool. All so Amy Carter would no longer be the ugliest kid in America.Sons Hero, MACK E-6, singlescrewshaker and 13 others Thank this.
