This end of the year paperwork is ridiculous. Two more weeks and it will all be done.
A couple "local" drivers running this week, then everyone out working on Friday. Holidays will be over, back to making money!
There are two of us who are thinking about hanging up the keys next November. I can stay busy with office and load work and he is willing to be an emergency driver on a as needed basis. He mentioned something about fishing and spending more time with his wife.
I did hire couple more guys for hay work as that customer has leased land and planted more hay. So yes, we decided to renew that contract.
That completes the end of the year update.
Don't forget your end of the year southern foods to bring you good luck and good fortune on New Years day.
Where is everyone #5

Have most everything lined up for a nice meal on Wednesday. One thing will be new, something have not tried before. Some Dixie lee cowpeas. Should cook up just like regular peas. If not, have some regular peas standing by.

Was in Kentucky a while back with another driver from the company. We had gone to the grocery store for some supplies. He was looking for some sodas, I pointed out the Ale81 to him, said he should give it a try. Think he picked up a couple of singles. Next day, he wants to go back to the store, cause he needed to get a couple of cases of it. Kids……singlescrewshaker, broke down plumber, cke and 6 others Thank this. -

Hey @Rugerfan @Blu_Ogre or anybody else familiar with the PNW .
I picked a load of lumber up in Carson WA , which is off of WA highway 14 . I was coming from Vancouver off the 205 and took 14 eastbound. I was wanting to continue eastbound on 14 after my pickup in Carson, to get out to Biggs junction and cross over to i84 at the bridge but there was a sign that said no truck over 12'9", basically from Carson to the biggs junction bridge. I seen a couple log trucks heading that way but figured they was going up in the bush somewhere down the road.
Now I'm pretty sure my truck ain't that tall but I don't have my height pole with me and I didn't wanna end up on this week's episode of bone head truckers, so I just turned back around and went back to 205 and picked up 84 east from there.
Just curious if you guys have taken that route before, if it's good or not?singlescrewshaker, broke down plumber, cke and 4 others Thank this. -
