When I was a teen, Krystal’s was the place where everyone would go after cruising, street racing, getting drunk food after the party. Used to get them for $.25 each. Meat was grilled with onions and cheese and the buns were steamed on the grill. Krystal burgers came out extremely hot and gooey (with cheese).

Now, they come out room temperature warm. Won’t melt cheese. Really disappointing compared to what they used to be. Haven’t been to a Krystal’s since I moved back to the states in 2016. Guess it’ll be another 9 years before I come back.

When I was a kid I got to request my birthday meal. I still remember the year I got McDonald's burgers. Partly because I didn't think I'd actually get something not made at home, but mostly the soft bun and how it had a nice little crunch on the edges from where they toasted it on the griddle. Fresh and hot, and the burger had Heinz ketchup - our ketchup was always home made. Not sure if it's aging taste buds, but NO prepared food tastes like it used to. To top it off, it costs 8-10x what it did. In dad's life candy bars went from a nickle to a quarter. Mine went from a quarter to $2.89.

Hey @Big Road Skateboard — 38.5 yards on my knees with a Griff breathing down my neck— trying to get the Boys to stay in back of me and keep quiet and don’t move— had much better luck with kids, but they’re getting — slowly

My favorite hobby on the wind farms while waiting to get offloaded. Second was hitting golf balls for distance.
