Well guys, help me figure out what we are looking at here. I’m at a loss, lot of thoughts in my head but non of it makes perfect sense.

Self feeding rollers spring loaded to control the feed rate, have no idea what the drum with the spikes is removing or separating.

In the bottom is a rotating fan to force the product out into a chute where a bag or ?? catches it.

    Any ideas….?

I’ve owned vintage planers, not a planer. Not for wood at all, and those sharpened spikes on the drum are the first thing to make contact after the product enters the unit. It is self feeding with steel rollers similar to a planer. The drum is wooden with rows and rows of steel sharpened spikes.

Just guessing, I would calculate the drum rotation to be 300 to 500 rpm….

Big sigh of relief losing the respirator.
They will probably give him that breathing thing where you have to float the big check ball for exercise.
