I actually have this at the house just sitting in a box. I can send it to you if grounding to the battery/other location doesn’t work. Even some snap ferrite chokes that are cheap can help.

 

Ok. I tried what @ShooterK2 suggested as far as disconnecting the coax and it got rid of the motor sound but still had kind of a whistle. I'll try moving my ground next and see what that does.

It's really not that bad, either one, it's my OCD more than anything. If I turn my squelch and/or RF gain up a little it goes away so I'll just live with it the way it is for now. I'm small time anyway it's not something I use on a daily basis.
