Going back home…

 

Had to change wagons for the day. Then homework and lavender shower scrub. Not for me, the princess. We did get to play with the fire truck tonight. Its coming along.

 

Just hope he didn’t get a case of the #### it’s while rebuilding it if he knew he was leaving. Nothing sux worse than after the initial “I finally got this m’fer back in just to have to pull it back out to fix some ho ####”

 

Been on the road 8 weeks now.. seems dispatch didn't like that I asked to go home??
Somehow we used to be able to get home every weekend or every other...3 weeks was a along time.. no longer the case I guess.. its almost like lowering the pay scale and saying ur gonna bring it back, eventually causes all the veteran drivers to leave and in the last 6 months the company has been hiring out of school rookies to replace them... think it's time for me to start looking for greener pastures to roam

Just stopped to top off my bucket of bolts.

Well, not meaning to be mean but… usually said driver is seen in a cascadia or Volvo with Chicago, ILL written on it with side skirts missing, fenders flopping, and headlight duct taped in place….

Edit: company seems to be oos quite often too…

 

Gotcha…..anyone that would put those fenders fenders on Pete probably bats for the wrong team too

Hopefully that doesn't happen, I don't find engine rebuilds particularly enjoyable as I tend to be a perfectionist. I'm the guy that sees liner protrusion between adjacent liners is in spec but they're at opposite ends of the spectrum. Then will spend the next 20 minutes swapping liners trying to get them all as even as possible. I just hate putting my name on a job I know I could have done better.
