First tank of fuel I ever bought for my own truck was .99 cents a gallon at the old Newport truck stop in Newport Arkansas. I can’t say how long it was after I got started but I got sent to Moriarty New Mexico to rescue a broke down load of Dairy cattle headed to Cargill in Fresno. That feeling of coming out of the bug check at Needles rollin through that 15 speed with that feeling of I’ve arrived I hope stays with me a lifetime. That feeling of M’FER fuel is a 1.69 out here like to caused heart failure. I had to go down south and catch feeders back Texola or texoma I always get those two mixed up.

The old truck stop at home still had the pumps out front with the fuel desk beside the diner. Long hoses to reach across. The Pankeys owned it, many times Mr. Pankey himself pumped this kids fuel.

One thing I like about the VA series, just prop the hood up or remove 2 bolts and it sets off. But yes you are correct, most you have a dozen bolts to remove to get to the engine….

This is built on a big barge and actually floats in the Ohio River. You can dock up beside it too and go eat then jump back on your boat and go on.

Any of y’all ever in this area holler at me and if I’m around we’ll go grab a bite….

Backed the shield in the warehouse and unhooked from the trailer, he’s renting my trailer till it comes off. Gotta be in Pittsburgh with it end of this month, the expo is 3,4,5 of next month.

He told me they have sold 265 of these thing!! That’s a lot of shields. He’s going to raise it up close to legal height before I haul it up to the show, let potential buyers see more of it. I can only imagine what these things cost plus shipping from Poland.

Son in law was telling me during dinner that the company he works for which built a new plant in Mexico, is looking to move a lot of their stuff back into the US. Y’all can probably guess why too lol….

Was it smooth going at the port ? I always wondered what it was like to get into there with own authority. I've only ever been in there under another trucking companies number and they figured out all the bs for me

Sat in a 3 hour backup today on i5 in cali for a wildfire . Had the whole interstate shutdown both directions... fire hopped the interstate right before i got up on it. kinda early in the year for that crap.
Had 3 choppers, about 4 planes and a couple dozen ground crews fighting it. Winds 40+ mph... in the 2 hours sitting there watching it, fire must have moved a mile or so to the east with the wind. crazy watching those planes divebombing down dropping retardant, with the choppers dropping water right next to them in a synchronized chaos. Those pilots are straight up bad ### !

I've got videos somewhere of them flying low over the shop and my truck when that fire tore through Ft Mac 9 years ago.
