When we first got together I bought that red boom truck setting there. 10,000 lb knuckle boom on a 86 International S series. Truck was bought new in Huntington by R&L.

Roger retired and sold all the equipment. He sold me the truck for $800.
It needed a new seal in the front of the engine but otherwise was still in good shape. I cleaned it up, buffed the cab, painted the bed and boom and ended up selling it for $5000. She was happy with that , I wanted to keep it lol….,

Were both axles locked in all the time, or a sluding clutch in there not visible?

No it’s got a set of spider gears on the center drive gear like an open differential….
