Appreciate it brother . I figure setbacks are nothing but learning experiences to do better moving forward

I've had nearly zero luck with combustion gas tests as well. Head gaskets were a fairly common issue on the C series Cat skid steers and I can't say I recall a combustion gas test ever confirming it.

There's a lot more guys that are better mechanics than I will ever be so take this little piece of tidbit however you want. If I were in your shoes, the first thing I would do is paint that engine yellow. Something about a yellow engine gives me peace of mind and maybe it will do the same for you. Good luck .

That is definatly the plan in the future. I just want to fix this one and get it back on the road so I can leave this company driver crap in the mirrors for the time being

U guys were right. Got the injectors out and pressureized it. No coolant leaking past the cups. I guess that means tearing it down further and pulling the head is the next job.
That will have to wait for another day. To dang hot now pushing 100 degrees down here

Don’t guess you’d be up for throwing us up a pic of what you’re seeing under the valve cover?

That’s what I hope they are. Been nothing but setback after setback for about 5 months. I guess all you can do is hope things get better and you learn from it.

Not exactly the same thing but I rebuilt an ISX and painted it like a N14. Even put the little emblems on the side of the engine. Guy that owns it says it still runs like a top.
