@ElmerFudpucker I'm still around occasionally. Don't post as much since I started my own shop.
@D.Tibbitt If the engine is blowing coolant out the overflow on the reservoir don't forget to check the air compressor as well. Ive only seen 2 fail on a ISX but both times stung. Put shop air to the discharge line and then I usually tape latex gloves on the ends of the air comp coolant lines. If the gloves blow up then the air compressor is pooched.
As far as reusing head bolts sure all the time. When you torque them you can instantly feel them stretch if they were to fail.
Torque on the head is 150ftlbs 300 then 90 degrees. I usually run the 300 twice and the center ones will tighten up. Once you do the 90 degrees there is no retorquing or checking or anything.
Are the EGR components blocked off and dry?
Injector cups wont cause pressurizing on an ISX.
