I guess I need to find another permit company to deal with.. just found out the 2nd permit I ordered yesterday was not submitted! This thing has to be there today….

 

I would be going ballistic.

 

My hats off to you!!!! I turned down every log home load that was ever offered to me. I wanted nothing to do with some of those delivery sites. I figured there are guys that do that for a living. Not for me and my big ### road truck. Hats off to you and a thumbs up

 

Just got my permit about 35 minutes ago. I called it in yesterday. Come to find out it was never sent to the state of Pennsylvania! The girl I was talking to was having trouble with her baby, it was whining the whole time I spoke with her….

 

If you haven’t yet (but if you’re making your bed you probably have) try Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willinks. Both are required reading for my club. Wish I had both books and Jordan Peterson’s ‘be a monster’ speech when I was a kid.

 

Notice the writer putting responsibility on the pilot car? The driver is a COMPLETE idiot.

Drivers, if your OSOW requires a pilot car, and you give the pilot car a copy of the permit with route on it, odds are the pilot car will enter the address in his GPS and blindly follow it. It’s your responsibility to know all the provisions, routes, safety requirements as outlined in the OSOW permit and the provision sheet. If something goes wrong, it’s your ticket, not the pilot car’s.

If you have questions, ask another driver. Don’t ask the pilot car. CYA.
