Ain’t too many left. The high speed chicken feed, pills, cigarettes, coffee, large cars and tall miles has a price. I’m watching a man I thought was a giant waste away to nothing.
Any of us that grew up with the real deal big steppers from yesterday will tell ya, ain’t no outlaws left. Not like it used to be. And that includes modern cow truck drivers. Them piss ants wouldn’t make a pimple on the ### cheek of an old school freight hauler. Much less an old bullshipper

Somebody throwed away a lot of good parts. That engine and clutch assembly is worth more than the whole tractor for junk….

These boys today can’t spell bull shipper……..but they can pat they self on the back without breaking an arm
It’s easy to run a grand a day in a comfortable air ride truck power steering etc. They drive better than a car used to. Do it in a spring ride with 100 gallon tanks with a shiney 290 no power steering A/C etc. Something I’ve never done and know nothing about. Born too late and sorta #### glad of itLast edited: Jun 2, 2025

Maybe, just maybe that crap is about to come to an end.

I don’t want a 318 with a resonator and a 4x4 with center point steering and bias ply tires

My 73 Cabover Kenworth had bias ply 10:00-20 on Daytons. Truck and trailer. Wasn’t to bad once they warmed up, but after a night of setting during cold weather they would check your dental work.
If this younger generation had to drive / park, blind side back, turn in tight areas like I’ve done with Armstrong steering they would really appreciate the finer details of newer trucks.
Not saying I’m an old outlaw of any kind, but, I’m glad as well as proud to say I had the opportunity to drive trucks with wig wags, twin sticks, torsion bar suspension, and air assist steering and no power steering.
I came into trucking in the 80’s, a lot has changed, not only with the trucks, but the drivers as well….Deere hunter, sawmill, Gatordude and 15 others Thank this.
