I heard you all can still get the real deal doc bells. Is that true?

 

Heard rumours but I have no connections any more.

You'd never cut it in logging if you couldn't turn a wrench. Snag an airline in the bush what ya gonna do, call a mechanic and wait 7 hours blocking the road and losing 2 trips? Or dump the trailer air tanks, roll to the nearest wide spot and splice it back together? Blow a brake diaphragm just cage it and vice grip the line it to get yourself out of the bush and on to some decent ground to replace it.

Wasn't uncommon to stop and lend another logger some airline, fittings, wiring connectors or whatever. Heck my old man once helped another hauler with a blown diff pull his axle shafts so they could limp the truck to the mill then to the shop, saving a roadside unload and tow bill.

You just don't see that level of camaraderie anymore in general.

 

It looks good. Rhubarb is something I've never eaten. Maybe I'll get to try it one day.

I started in 1974 . I'm kinda like old race car drivers talking about the old days . The older I get , the faster I was.

I cannot confirm or deny but I have heard pretty straight they changed Doc Bells. They claim it just makes you hungry now

 

I know here in the states that it’s been changed, but I heard in canukistan they still get the good stuff. But that’s purely grapevine talk
