First truck I drove, was one my dad's trucks. We hauled around the south east , precast concrete. Always over loaded. That thing had a 250 Cummins with a 10 speed. White's velvet ride , it'd give the camel back a run for being the nearest nothing as far as a good ride. It was a old Coke a cola truck , they wore it out , then a friend of Dad's hauled mail with it for years then Dad bought it. But as ElmerFudpucker said I thought I was something driving around in it.![]()

The reason for the monfort hate is because most of them either had a 380 A model cat or a 350 Cummins. They ran like 4.63 ratios. So at most they were 70-75 mph trucks. Sure they seemed fast and pulled good compared to a 290 or a 318. But in actuality they weren’t that special. But they did run hard.

Not just truckin, but every walk of life. In their opinion, those that succeed got lucky, or had family money.
Because they've always had excuses, and quit at every little struggle, they assume everyone else does.
And when #### gets hard, these weak bassturds have a support group that'll pat em on the back and say you did your best.
They'll never know success, or struggle, or hard. They'll never know pride either.
