I tote a 15,000 pound excavator with it. It has no problems doing it and as fast as you want. But it only gets 8 mpg doing it. Without a trailer I can get 14-15 mpg.

So for everyday driving it’s the 1500 with a v6. It gets 22. But the 3500 is 4wd with 4.56 rears

The old 6.7L Powerstroke service truck I used to run didn't do much better on the fuel. Would barely break double digits in most cases and I was usually always around 17k lbs gross.

Yeah, I had a 7.3 too. Wasn’t impressed. I had a 2nd gen 3500 Cummins that would get 20 all day long. But like you, this time I didn’t want to pay the premium for a diesel or have all the emissions #### to deal with so I opted for the gasser.

I get mid-20’s with my deleted 6.7 if I keep my foot out of it.

Well @Big Road Skateboard it’s all archery this year— draw results came out yesterday and the only thing we got was an unlimited speed goat archery in 46 — kids got rifle buck tags in 54 and my buddy gave me a couple cow elk depredation tags so we’ll have meat— 55 is the late archery buck hunt and I can’t decide what to do on the bull hunt

Dont know if you are buying new or used, and yes this is just my opinion…. I’d opt for the 6.2, I haven’t really heard anything negative about them from guys that run them, and 2, this is all opinion, a Ram will rust out quicker than that Ford. That opinion is based on one I owned, and one dad owned 15 years before that
