I need to break out the bow and start getting some shooting in. Been too busy working, and getting some rifle time in when I can.

Last year I was shooting that 2010 Elite Judge I mentioned. It's fun, and fast, but hard on the shoulders in those cold November mornings.

My main bow is this 2019 Elite Ritual 35. 60lbs, easy draw, easy to hold. I put new strings on it last fall and haven't even settled em in yet.

Unless I can pick up another ID tag, my only chance to bowhunt will be at home. Already got Nov 1st through the 10th planned off, and this one ole mountain buck I'd like to see.

I'm sure it's a proud fathers day for you, but a bit bittersweet. Congrats!

A guy hates seeing his kids grow up, yet you're proud as hell at the same time.

I delivered up in NW Wyoming last week at a ranch, and the ranch hand who unloaded me was maybe early 40's.

He mentioned he was livin the life up there, and had left Louisiana two years ago (can never fault a guy for leavin there). He had a son back home, but baby mamma was handlin him, and his ex wife was a beech.

I can't imagine a guy leaving everything he should care about behind for something selfish like that. It blew my mind.

I felt sorry for the guy to be honest, and sorry for the guys kid. Kids probably better off without him, but still.

It did make me think about how lucky I am having a great family at home.

I went through that and lived through that, and there's no way to make it feel good. It gets better with time especially when grandkids start coming along.

They do grow up way too fast. It got a little harder with each one of my daughters (3 of them), but I couldn't be prouder of them for their accomplishments in life. She'll always be your little girl.
