Sounds like a plus for fire season. I'm hoping that high country keeps getting wet

Compton California. Got about 8 trucks in front to load so here we sit. Not even any food trucks around

So I have an extra plug on the truck for a battery maintainer. PXL_20250623_205247037.jpg

I've always thought it wasn't very effective. Turns out once you plug it in you have to select the type of battery you're charging. Not very convenient when it's mounted inside the battery box. So I'll be relocating this to the side box under the sleeper. PXL_20250623_205252765.jpg

Can't believe it took me so long to figure it out

That's pretty handy to have . Think ill put that down on my ever growing list of things I need to do to my truck ... also don't feel bad, I had this t680 for like 2 months before I ever figured out there is a sleeper door in it after all

with my 96 IHC 9200 an old hand showed me a neat trick.
Remove the drivers side front cab mount bolt.
Jack or pry the cab up 1.5 inches and block.
That gave me enough room to remove the top of my 2 piece valve cover on my leaning Series 60

On a Columbia there is a cut out on the cowl that comes out with 4 bolts. Lets you look straight down on 5, and makes 6 a lot easier to reach. Still can't get to the back of the head for the fuel return line tho. Got to take the fender off to be able to get to the back.
